Skiing For Thanksgiving?

I was a little surprised this morning when I checked my phone and saw that snow was forecast for next week.

The northeast seems to be off to a solid start to winter 2025-2026, with ski areas in New England already getting their first dusting of snow and cold temps allowing them to blast some manmade. Now it looks like more snow may be on the way for the Northeast.

In this video from Direct Weather, we see a severe arctic blast in a major snowstorm, possibly on the horizon for the northeast. Needless to say, some pre-Thanksgiving snowfall would be fantastic and could even set some ski areas up to opening ski lifts over the Thanksgiving day weekend. Fingers crossed, here we go!
