Banff Sunshine Village

Thanks to consistent early-season snowfall and a helping hand from Mother Nature, the mountain team at Banff Sunshine Village has been hard at work getting the slopes prepped and are proud to announce they are the first ski resort in Canada to open for the 2025/2026 winter season.

Beginning today, guests can make their way up the gondola and enjoy skiing and riding off Strawberry Express, the first chairlift of the new season. To the best of Banff Sunshine Village’s knowledge this is our earliest opening day ever.

“Winter has returned to the Canadian Rockies, and we’re thrilled to share that Banff Sunshine Village will officially open for the 2025/26 winter season this Sunday, November 2nd.”

Tough loss for the Blue Jays last night but at least Canadians have something positive to celebrate today. Cheers to the good folks at Banff Sunshine Village for putting in the work to make this happen.
