Eldora Professional Ski Patrol Union bargaining members and representatives from Eldora Mountain Resort have reached a tentative agreement regarding contract terms following a meeting last week. The union reports both parties worked in good faith towards finding a compromise for all 28 contract articles. In coming weeks both parties will review the articles and the union will hold a vote to ratify the contract. If the contract is ratified it will establish terms for the patrol department over the next three years. Read Eldora Professional Ski Patrol Union’s statement issued about the development below.

Eldora Ski Patrol Union Statement:

After 13 months of bargaining, we are proud to have built a contract which will address rising costs-of-living, high turnover rates, and give us the tools to keep our mountain safe. Our membership will soon vote to ratify this agreement, which will remain in effect for the next three years.

We will have more info to share in the coming weeks, but would like to thank every member of the Boulder County and Front Range ski communities for your continued support. Your commitment to our mission made it possible for us to stand firm behind our core goals in negotiating this contract.

This has been a community-driven effort from Day One, and with an impending change in ownership we will continue to rely on your passion and support.

We look forward to speaking with the Town of Nederland regarding how the union serves the safety and the function of the mountain, as well as aligns with their mission to establish Eldora as the economic backbone of Nederland and the surrounding community. For now, please remain engaged and we’ll see you on the slopes!
