2 hikers were hospitalized after they were attacked by a grizzly bear in the McGregor mountain area northeast of Prince George, British Columbia, on Sunday, October 12th.
Accord to CBC, a critical care helicopter arrived on the scene around 3pm PT Sunday. The injured individuals were flown to the Prince George Airport before an ambulance brought them to a hospital.
Conservation Officer Service PAT Specialists are investigating the incident. Hikers are asked to cancel any trips in the Pass Lake area. Area trails will be closed until the investigations have concluded.
The grizzly bear attack occurred in a popular hiking area in the McGregor Mountain range. Trailheads in the region are accessible by forest service road around 75 miles driving distance northeast of Prince George.
