It’s been a back and forth battle over the last few years between a couple iconic ski towns to own the title of the world’s longest shot-ski and we have a new record in the books after a charity event on the streets of Park City over the weekend.

Park City Shot Ski,October 11, 2025

Volunteers organized by the Park City Sunrise Rotary Clubย woke up early Saturday morning to bolt together 583 skis topped with 1,410 shot glasses to set the stage to reclaim the record. The throngs of thirsty drinkers had a choice between High West Double Rye Whiskey and apple juice. When the signal was given, participants hoisted their skis and drained the shot glasses to reclaim the title beating Breckenridge’s previous high mark of 1,401 by just 9 drinkers.

The event raised $70,000 for local nonprofits and once again stoked the friendly rivalry between these two classic ski towns. No doubt there will be a rebuttal from Breck and we can’t wait see what they come up with next. Cheers!
