Park City, Utah โ€” It may not have the most challenging lift-serviced terrain in Utah, but Park City is home to some tricky trails and glades. For example, have you ever tried skiing the Homerun trail on a holiday?

Jokes aside, with memorable terrain across the largest public ski resort in the U.S., it’s hard to go wrong with a trip to Park City. If you’re a skier or rider, the video below offers valuable insight into the expert terrain at Park City.

In a video by Lucas Catania, he analyzes which terrain pods feature the best terrain for experts. His top five include Pioneer, Super Condor, McConkey’s, Ninety-Nine 90, and Jupiter. The honorable mentions were the Dreamcatcher, Thaynes, and Peak 5 terrain pods.

Dropping On Jupiter

Ultimately, Catania chooses Jupiter as his number one pick. In what he defines as the most skied area in his entire life, Lucas enjoys Jupiter for its lapability. Jupiter gets the most snow at Park City, and it has a wide variety of terrain (open bowls, chutes, and glades). Another thing he enjoys is that they don’t open the Jupiter Access trail until avalanche mitigation on Jupiter’s terrain is complete, leading to a race for the first chair.

The reasons he chose it over Ninety-Nine 90 are that the terrain pod, the terrain he enjoys the most, takes you back to Tombstone, not the Ninety-Nine 90 chairlift. This leads to navigating through the crowded area to return to that terrain. In comparison, Jupiter’s terrain tends to lead back to the double chairlift.
