Banff, Alberta — A top item on the bucket list for many skiers is SkiBig3 in Alberta. Situated around Banff, these three ski resorts provide an unforgettable experience. With its proximity to Calgary, accessing SkiBig3 is easier than you think.

In a recent video from SkiBig3, Gabby gives a tour of the three ski resorts in the region. She describes the experiences at Banff Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mt Norquay.

About The Resorts

Located on the Continental Divide, Banff Sunshine Village features 130 trails, 12 lifts, and over 3,300 acres of skiable terrain. The ski resort allows you to ski in both British Columbia and Alberta. It’s also known for Delirium Dive, the extreme trail that requires a beacon, probe, and shovel to enter its gate.

Known as the largest ski resort in Alberta, Lake Louise Ski Resort has 164 trails, 12 lifts, and 4,200 acres of skiable terrain. Louise will also be debuting a terrain expansion this winter, as Richardson’s Ridge will add 200 acres of new skiable terrain, along with a detachable high-speed quad chairlift.

Mt. Norquay is known as Banff’s Backyard due to its proximity to the mountain town. The ski resort features 60 runs, 6 lifts, and 190 acres of skiable terrain. The Banff ski resort is also the only one of the trio to have night skiing. Norquay will debut a new beginner lift this season and is planning to add a gondola for the 2026-27 season.
