All you downhill mountain bike racing fans will be pleased to know that the The Fox US Open of Mountain Biking has once again returned to Killington Resort in Vermont where professional and amateur athletes from around the world will compete in the Open Class Downhill for one of the largest cash purses in racing.
The open Pro/Am format offers the most challenging competition in the nation, setting the standard as a proving ground for both elite and up-and-coming athletes. The Fox US Open event will also offer amateur racing classes in Downhill and Dual Slalom as well as the annual Adaptive Downhill race and the invite-only Best Whip competition.

Fox US Open of Mountain Biking
September 24, 2025 – September 28, 2025
The Fox US Open of Mountain Biking returns again to Killington Resort on September 24-28. Professional and amateur athletes from around the world will compete in the Open Class Downhill for one of the largest cash purses in racing. As always, the Fox US Open also offers amateur racing classes in Downhill and Dual Slalom, plus the annual Adaptive Downhill race and the invite-only Best Whip competition.
The US Open Downhill race will remain true to its heritage as an open class event that gives up-and-coming racers the chance to compete against the pros and will again be included in the US Downhill National Series. Racers age 14 & under will also have their shot in the Next Gen Youth Downhill event, which offers categories for intermediate and expert racers.
Returning again this year will be the crowd-favorite Best Whip competition, bringing out the best high-flyers to throw down on the massive jump line carved into our Ramshead base area. This prestigious invitational event promises big-air action and is must-see Saturday night entertainment.
Spectating is FREE, and approved areas of the Bike Park are open to the public during the event (access up the Ramshead chairlift for spectators will be available for purchase from inside the Ramshead Lodge). Join the party and experience epic competition, spectating, and riding with friends!

Planning on taking in the action at this year’s event? Read on for Killington Resort policies that will apply for all spectators.
Camping & Parking
- RV/overnight parking at Ramshead will be available for purchase. Free RV parking/overnight camping will be available in the upper Snowshed lot (on the side of the lot closer to the Snowshed Base Lodge) & in the Skyeship lots.
- The Vale Road lots will be reserved for tent camping & car/van camping. No RVs will be allowed in the Vale lots during the week of the event.
- Overnight parking will not be allowed on the Mountain Green side of the upper Snowshed lots nor in any of the K-1 lots. Please note signage pertaining to parking as you arrive at Killington.

- The Ramshead parking lot will be monitored throughout the entirety of the event. Parking in certain areas of the Ramshead lot will be prohibited—please pay attention to signage.
- Please clean up after yourself upon arriving in our parking lots. Dumpsters will be available in Ramshead, Vale, and upper Snowshed lots.
- There are no bonfires or fire pits allowed in the Ramshead parking lot. Any drone photography/videography is also prohibited.
- All lifts (Snowshed, Ramshead, and K-1) will operate on their usual operating schedules for public access—only participants will have access to early lift times. Please note that lift line wait times will be affected during peak event hours.
