Dan Noakes released his annual video with over one hour of pristine powder skiing.

Idaho One of my favorite annual pump-ups for ski season is watching Dan Noakes’s annual powder videos. With the unofficial end of summer being today, Dan has released his latest powder highlight video from the 2024-25.

Every year, Dan Noakes shares his powder odysseys from the prior ski season. Called the POV Ski Mix, it typically comes with lo-fi music or sounds of skiing powder. This year’s film is a little bit different, thanks to the usage of DJI microphones. This leads to immersive video that allows viewers to experience the pure sound of skis cutting through untracked snow.

To film this video, he travels through the mountains of Idaho to find the most memorable lines. Making this video is no easy task. Dan earns his turns, meaning he puts a lot of time and effort into these edits.

“Filming an edit like this takes about a season long,” said Noakes. “It’s roughly 75,000 to 90,000 vertical feet of hiking just to capture an hour’s worth of footage. I love doing it though.”

Dan’s latest video is below; be sure to subscribe to stay up-to-date on his latest skiing and outdoor adventure escapades.
