Major progress update from the slopes of Deer Valley where over 50 staff members from across departments came together over two days to splice the massive haul ropes for the new East Village Gondola.
“Stretching nearly six miles in total, the 56-millimeter haul ropes connect Deer Valley East Village to Park Peak with advanced technology that delivers up to a 40% smoother ride.” -Deer Valley
Starting at the new East Village, the gondola will connect to Park Peak and include a mid-station at Big Dutch Peak. The new gondola is a a critical component Deer Valley’s Expanded Excellence project which is the largest resort expansion in North American history. When complete the project will double the size of Deer Valley with 100 new ski runs, 10 new chairlifts, and 2-times the skiing.

For the 2025/26 ski season, Deer Valley unveils nearly 100 new ski runs, 10 new chairlifts, and the 10-passenger East Village Express Gondola, connecting the new Deer Valley East Village with Park Peak. This is part of a transformational vision that more than doubles our skiable terrain of the resort.
