Henniker, New Hampshire โย It’s one of the biggest offseasons ever at Pats Peak, as various improvements are underway at the New Hampshire ski area.
This week, Pats Peak announced its capital improvements for the 2025-26 season. These improvements include a new chairlift, snowmaking upgrades, and more food options.
โAt Pats Peak, weโve always believed that reinvestment is the key to staying ahead,โ says Kris Blomback, the General Manager at Pats. โOur goal is to make sure every guest, from first-timers to seasoned skiers, has the best possible experience each time they visit. These upgrades reflect our passion for the mountain and our commitment to the future.โ
Here’s a rundown of what’s coming to Pats Peak for the 2025-26 season.
New Chairlift: One of the biggest upgrades going on in New England’s ski industry this offseason is the replacement of the Hurricane chairlift.
The old fixed-grip triple chairlift is being replaced with a Skytrac quad chairlift, which will increase the uphill capacity by 25%. The new lift aims to be a more convenient option for skiers compared to its prior setup, meaning it will be easier to reach. A gentler entryway and a loading conveyor will facilitate an easier loading process, while a raised unloading ramp will provide easier access to terrain like Cascade Basin.
Beginner Area Expansion: As part of the Hurricane chairlift realignment, Pats Peak has created additional space in the beginner area. Eventually, this will include a new magic carpet lift in this learning zone.
Snowmaking: Pats Peak already has a superb snowmaking setup, but more improvements are on tap to make it even better. The major project of this offseason is a piping reconfiguration around the base area, which will allow for faster snowmaking efforts during the early season. Another project that’s in the preparatory stages is the powerline upgrade at the summit, which will allow for increased snowmaking efforts in future seasons.
More Food Options:ย The food lineup will expand with additional offerings at existing restaurants, and a new food outlet will be introduced. Theย Sled Pubย will introduce new BBQ options to its menu and implement QR codes for ordering at the Pub Deck. The Valley Lodge is adding a deli counter with sandwich options. The new option, Aprรจs Sweets, will cater to those with a sweet tooth.
Other improvements for this upcoming winter include the expansion of the Kids Program area and new equipment at Pats Peak’s rental center. It’s cool to see so many improvements at the first place I ever skied at. Click here to read Pats Peak’s full press release.
