Les Gets ski resort in Haute-Savoie, France, is currently in the process of installing a brand-new detachable 8-seater chairlift in the Rosta area. The resort plans to have the new lift open by Christmas 2025. While that timeline might seem tight, a quick look at their concrete-pouring helicopter pilot provides plenty of confidence.
Helicopter Concrete Pour
The helicopter pilot appears to be from the Blugeon Hélicoptères company, a family-owned company that specializes in helicopter transport. Located in the Alps, they offer a host of sling load operations including pylon transport, concrete transport, pool transport, lighting mast transport, and rooftop transport. They also offer helicopter lifting services across France and private flights like airport transfers.
Concrete delivery or pouring by helicopter is a fairly common sight when it comes to the installation of ski lifts. It allows crews to pour foundations in areas that trucks simply can’t reach. This pilot’s skills are seriously impressive and go beyond what you’d normally see from these operations.
Les Gets ROSTA chairlift
The brand-new detachable 8-seater chairlift coming to Les Gets ski resort is being built with a focus on comfort, speed, and modernity. It will feature a positioning carpet to make boarding easy and will take riders to the top in under 3 minute. Equipped with a Direct Drive motor, the new lift includes reduced energy consumption, lower noise pollution, and enhanced safety for the teams responsible for operation and maintenance, and it uses no hydrocarbons for operation.
