Northeast Kingdom, Vermont โ The Kingdom Trails network in the Northeast Kingdom features an endless number of trails for various skill levels and types of bikers. Unsurprisingly, it’s also home to one of the top-rated trails on the continent.
On Trailforks, Black Bear was the second-highest rated trail on the continent in 2023. The number one spot went to the Captain Kangaroo trail in British Columbia. Situated in the East Haven section of Kingdom Trails, Black Bear is of intermediate difficulty. While it’s not the steepest trail, its flow leads to an adrenaline rush.
In a video from last year, Skills With Phil shared what the riding experience is like.
With over 100 miles of multi-use biking trails, Kingdom Trails is regarded as a rite of passage for mountain bikers. Started back in 1994, the trail network is operated by the Kingdom Trail Association, a non-profit. This non-profit is run by a Board of Directors that consists of locals. This year, the multi-use trail network announced that e-bikes are now allowed to ride on the trails. The trail network is available to use year-round.
