CANADA – Just because it’s the middle of the summer doesn’t mean you can’t be shredding on snow. YouTuber Rise & Alpine knows that all too well, and that’s why his channel has been filled with plenty of ski clips all summer long so far. In his most recent video, he took advantage of the Zoa Engineering PL1 portable rope tow to create a DIY backcountry summer ski area.
The PL1 complete package costs $1,725 and comes with everything you’ll need to get your personal lift up and running. That includes the PL1 ascender, a detachable throttle, a 1000 ft 550 paracord, a snow picket, a rope bag, a power supply, and a lanyard. While a climbing harness isn’t included, it is recommended that you have one for use.
