Snowmaking is awesome. It lets us bust out our skis earlier than we’d ever be able to if we had to rely on natural snow, with ski season sometimes starting as early as mid-October here in Colorado. It’s a fantastic feature of the ski industry. But it only works if the temperatures are below freezing, and that doesn’t happen as early as some people and resorts would like. So some resorts around the world have turned towards snow storage.
