Ontario โ You probably haven’t heard of Dagmar Ski Resort, but it serves an important purpose for Canada’s ski industry, especially now that there is a chairlift for sale.
With it being one of the closest ski resorts to Toronto, Dagmar has taught many people how to ski and ride. Significant changes are afoot this offseason there, as they are working on extending and refurbishing the Big Daddy chairlift. Meanwhile, they’re also selling one of their other chairlifts, as there is a chairlift listed for sale.
Ski Area Management recently announced on its classifieds page that they are selling a 1980s fixed-grip quad chairlift. The chairlift features 55 carriers and six lift towers. Some of the other specifications include a โrebuilt Kissling gear box, Rebuilt Brook 100 HP Motor, [a] Ford 300 6 cylinder Evac drive, [and] Rebuilt Hydraulic cylinders for Tension and E-brake.โ
This quad chairlift was purchased from Ski Mount Chantecler in Quebec. It was initially planned to replace the Rendezvous triple chairlift. However, they found a quad chairlift (The Outback) from Mount St. Louis Moonstone that better suits their needs. Because of this, they’re selling the quad chairlift.
Those interested in the chairlift can contact Bill at bill@skidagmar.com or 416-606-5794. There is a chairlift for sale, and inquiries can be directed accordingly.
It’ll be interesting to see if anyone purchases the old chairlift. While a fixed-grip quad chairlift is a highly desirable lift type, it is somewhat dated, and its sale is a focal point.
