Last weekend, my buddy and I were going up the Summer Road to hike up to Cecret Lake. Most of the snow has melted at Alta, but some of the white stuff remains. While I went up, I noticed that one of the most notable patches was on Gunsight. This patch was in such good shape that a skier decided to go shred it the day after.

A few days ago, Tony Korologos shared some photos and a video from Alta Ski Area. While it’s officially summertime at Utah’s snowiest ski area, there are still some turns to be had for those who want to earn it. While he was chilling on the beaches of Greece a few days prior, Tony was able to ski on the last snow patch on the Gunsight trail.

Tony Korologos is an avid Alta skier. *Crowd asks: How avid is he?* Well, he recently released an app that details the terrain at the Utah ski area. Called Alta Guide, it provides various details on the trails that comprise the ski area. The app also has run tracking capabilities, 3D maps, traffic conditions, and more. If you’ve got an iPhone or Google device, it’s a good app to download before your next Alta trip.
