Spring skier ends up in the dirt.
Spring skier ends up in the dirt.

As the spring ski season winds down and the remaining trails get increasingly thinner with more exposed hazards its important to remember to keep it under control.

The following clip is a quintessential example of an overzealous spring skier losing control in corn snow and paying the price. Thankfully the man was wearing a helmet and seemed to be more shaken up than injured after flying into a dirt patch after hitting an unexpected dip in the snow but one could imagine a different outcome.

Moral of the story, if you head out skiing in coming weeks and conditions are thin, keep it under control and wear a helmet.
