Swiss freestyle skier Andri Ragettli is a man of many talents. As a Slopestyle World Champion, he is obviously an elite skier but is also known for his incredible obstacle course mastery and general willingness to try all things acrobatic.

Ragettli traveled to LAAX in the Swiss Alps where he traded in his skis for a snowboard for the first time in 10 years. He hit up the rental shop to pick up his gear before heading out on the slopes where he was joined by German snowboarder Melina Merkhoffer who coached him up on the basics.

After a decidedly awkward start, Ragettli got the swing of it and was able to toss a backflip with ease:

“I finally went snowboarding again after 10 years. Super stoked what I was able to learn in one day. It was so much fun and thanks to Melina for coaching!” -Andri Ragettli
