Volunteer tree planting project at Montage Mountain

Montage Mountain in Pennsylvania had an amazing turnout Saturday morning when 200 volunteers braved April snow showers to participate in their annual tree planting project called GROW:

“Rain or shine…or snow, we’re always ready for GROW! First white-out we’ve seen for this event, but our volunteers always get it done! Thank you to everyone who came out, had fun, and helped reforest the slopes!” -Montage Mountain

WBRE reports Montage Mountain began their reforestation back in 2012 with a two-man effort and it has since grown into a thriving yearly community project with thousands of trees planted over the years.

395 spruce and pine trees were planted on Saturday and volunteers were treated with a GROW t-shirt, a free lunch, and live music. Cheers to all participants, amazing work!
