Lindsey Vonn becomes oldest woman to podium at the World Cup

Congratulations to Lindsey Vonn who won her first World Cup medal in 2565 days after taking second place in Super-G at the Stifel Sun Valley World Cup.

Lindsey’s victory is historic as she became the oldest woman to take the World Cup podium at age 40 and marks an incredible cap to her comeback to competitive racing this season after 6 years away from the sport.

Lindsey was lightning fast on what will likely be her final race on home snow and proved all her naysayers wrong just 11 months since her partial knee replacement surgery and four months since announcing her return to competition.

The raw emotion Lindsey displayed when she crossed the finish line is what winter sports is all about. We are incredibly proud of Lindsey and wish her all the best as she has her focus set on making her 5th Olympic team in 2026 and competing at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
