Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has unveiled the roster for the seventh annual Kings & Queens of Corbet’s invitational, bringing back five past champions in addition to a host of other top athletes.
The men’s ski competition will include 2023 champion Colby Stevenson, 2018 & 2021 champion Karl Fostvedt, 2018 Winter Olympic Slopestyle bronze medalist Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, and two-time Winter X Games medalist Alex Hackel. The women’s ski competition will include 2023 champion Claire McPherson, 2021 cmaphion Piper Kunst, and 2020 champion Veronica Paulsen.
On the snowboard side, the men’s will include Olympian Yuki Kadono, while the women’s side will be headlined by multiple Freeride World Tour podium finisher Erika Vikander.
The Kings & Queens of Corbet’s competition was cancelled in 2024 due to snow conditions and safety concerns for athletes. This year, over 200 inches of snow has already landed at the summit, and plenty more is expected before the competition is set to begin.
For the first time ever, a separate $5,000 award will be given to the top male and female athletes in both the ski and snowboard categories, with an additional $5,000 going to the highest scoring ski or snowboard male and female. Second-place finishers will win $3,000 and third-place finishers will win $2,000. In total, the prize pool for the event is $50,000.
