The defunct ski resort once known as Wolf Ridge is set to reopen for the 2024/25 winter season as Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort this Saturday, December 21. The old resort was purchased and rebuilt by David & Deborah Hatley, aiming to build a one-of-a-kind boutique mountain resort experience in North Carolina.
“As many of you are aware, we had our final lift walk through today which was more than successful (thank you to our lifts ops team for their hard work and grit). It has been a long time coming for us all, but trust that we have been waiting on the edge of our seats and feeling every moment of this journey together. Thank you all for your endless support, ski you soon.” – Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort
The duo managed to garner a fairly healthy following on their Instagram and TikTok pages, documenting the rebuild process at the resort. If all goes to plan, Hatley Pointe will supply four season amenities, mountain biking, potential for 300+ homes, and much more.
The ski area itself offers 54 acres of skiable terrain over 15 trails and 700 feet of vertical drop. Season passes and day tickets are currently available for purchase, with an unlimited season pass costing $850 and a single day pass starting at $51.
