Mount Everest.
Mount Everest.

Lhotse is the fourth tallest mountain in the world, reaching an incredible height just over 27,940 feet feet (8,516 meters). It was first summited in May of 1956 by a team of Swiss climbers including Ernst Reiss and Fritz Luchsinger. Lhotse Middle, a subsidiary peak that reaches 8,410 meters, was for a while the highest unclimbed, named point on Earth, summited for the first time in 2001. And yet Lhotse is dwarfed by its neighbor, the 29,029 foot (8,848 meter) Mount Everest.

Overhead views of both of these mountains are incredibly rare, but DJI has managed to bring some incredible shots of both Everest and Lhotse to the world with their DJI Mavic Pro 3.

Capturing this climb in a single take is a rare and raw feat, offering unmatched clarity even in extreme wind conditions. With strong winds reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h, the Mavic 3 Pro’s stability and wind resistance proved vital in capturing the towering peaks without any interruptions. Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, forms part of the Everest massif, and this video captures both peaks in one breathtaking journey. No cuts, no interruptions—just pure, raw footage of one of the world’s most iconic landscapes.
