Snowbird's upgraded Mid-Gad Restaurant.

Off-season work is going strong at Snowbird. Avid skiers may have already heard plenty about the resort’s upgrades to the Wilbere Lift, but the heavy renovations taking place at Snowbird’s Mid-Gad Restaurant cannot be ignored. Work on the restaurant began in the spring and has continued over the past several months.

The old restaurant came down easier than expected, but required 130 truck loads to get the old materials down the mountain. Over the past three months, concrete has been moved up the mountain and poured, and steel work began once the concrete was in place. Work on the building will continue through the winter and spring, with the current plan set to have the building complete by the end of summer 2025.

While skiers and snowboarders at Snowbird will have to go a season without access to a Mid-Gad Restaurant, the 2025/26 winter season comes with some major upgrades to the building. The new restaurant will feature impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, a patio with heated floors and outdoor seating, and an open-space design with cafeteria style flow. The new Mid Gad Restaurant is set to be open for the 2025/26 ski season.
