Excellent news out of Utah where Uinta Weather network is getting some updates and new additions to help provide better forecasts and information to the public and backcountry users.
Utah Avalanche Center’s Craig Gordon and Andy Nassetta were on top of Duchesne Ridge doing some offseason maintenance on a wind gauge weather station before they shot down to the Mill Hollow area where they got a little cowboy testing out the location for a new snow site (love the strap).
When it comes to forecasting avalanche conditions, data is king. The more information the professionals at the Utah Avalanche Center have, the better then can create forecasts to keep us safe in the Western Uintas. Thank you and keep up the great work!
