BIG SKY, Montana – Jobs with terrain park crews are almost certainly the most creative jobs on a ski mountain. Crew members work as artists, building ever changing routes that allow park skiers and snowboarders to develop and practice their skills.
Big Sky Resort is not known for its terrain parks. That’s not to say it has bad terrain parks, it’s just more known as a big mountain skiing destination than it is a terrain park destination. The resort’s Terrain Park Manager, Alex Syversen, is working to change that, sculpting the terrain park into something hopeful-professionals would be happy to train on.
““The Art of the Jump” a film featuring the story of Big Sky Resort’s own Alex Syversen, Terrain Park Manager. By night, he meticulously sculpts the snow into towering jumps and by dawn, he becomes the first to test his creations, a true artist enjoying his own masterpiece.“
