LAKE LOUISE, Alberta – Lake Louise Ski Resort in Alberta is set to open their newest chairlift this season, bringing access from the top of the existing Juniper Chair to the Summit Chair and alpine ski area. Upper Juniper, which has been teased for years, will be a heated 6-seater with a bubble hood, making it an ideal lift for cold winter days.

Construction on the new heated chairlift began during the 2023/24 ski season, with helicopters and specialty machinery assisting in the build. While the number of people the chair can move in an hour is yet to be revealed, the ride time is confirmed to be under 7 minutes.

With heated seats, a bubble hood and a ride time under 7 minutes, the new chair, opening this winter, will get skiers and riders to the top comfortably and quickly!

The Lake Louise Ski Resort features 4,200 acres of skiable terrain over 3250 feet of vertical rise. With 11 lifts (including 1 gondola and 3 carpets) and 164 named runs, you won’t get board on this mountain. The resort is a part of SkiBig3, a group of three ski resorts around Banff National Park.
