Austrian snowboarders Anna Gasser, Clemens Millauer and Seppl Ramsback were on a mission to shred in the Netherlands (one of the flattest countries on earth with about a quarter of the land lying below sea level) and were pleasantly surprised that there is an incredible facility to hone your park skills year round in the city of Terneuzen located in the southwest.
We have seen all manner of elaborate indoor ski slopes over the years but I really think Snowpark Terneuzen really nailed it with its parsed down no nonsense approach. Just a simple surface lift with a beginner slope off to the side and main slope tastefully populated a mix of features to for freestylers to practice their tricks. Even the exterior profile of the building is simple and honest, adding interest to the pastoral surrounding rather than some nasty eyesore.
“Quick trip up north to get a little break from summer. So much fun being back on my snowboard.” –Anna Gasser
