Garden City, Utah — In a rapidly accelerating Utah ski industry, even Beaver Mountain, a mom-and-pop operation, is making some significant changes.

Beaver Mountain has been building a new base lodge since last year. It will be known as Marge’s Cabin, named after one of the original owners. Situated next to the Harry’s Dream chairlift, the 24,000-square-foot lodge will have a café, retail shop, rental space, snow sports school meeting area, locker room, and a ticket office. There will also be a large deck where people can see skiers and riders shredding the slopes.

This week, Beaver Mountain provided a construction update on the project. The framing for the new lodge is beginning to take shape. However, it looks like a lot of work remains before it’s ready for guests.

They’re aiming to complete the lodge in the fall of 2024. After that, they’ll do some renovations to the Food Service Lodge.
