DENVER, Colorado – A video went viral earlier this month showing a woman throwing an 11-year-old’s skateboard into the South Platte River near Confluence Park in Denver, Colorado. According to descriptions of the video, the woman was upset that people were skating in the park, despite no rules or signs outright banning the activity.

In response to the video, Foos From Denver hosted an event at the Denver Skatepark supporting the 11-year-old Charleston Davidson, in addition to the other young skaters in the area. DJs, UFC fighters, and many others showed up to make Davidson feel seen, and to show him that he was doing nothing wrong while skating at Confluence Park.
