Bike packing is one of the coolest ways to travel this planet. It’s free of the mechanics of vehicles, theoretically costs less than public transportation, is faster than backpacking, and you can carry more stuff than when you’re walking. Erika Florian and Will Phelps met up with Miles Sebald in Patagonia as he traveled from Alaska to Argentina, spending nine days cycling, fishing, and filming on the trails and in the streams.

This is a lengthy one, but it’s a great watch. If you’ve got an hour and want to watch something made by an outdoor creator, rather than a massive production company, this is a great one.

About two years ago, my friend Miles Sebald decided to travel up to Dead Horse, Alaska, with his bike and ride south in one push to the opposite side of the world in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Erika and I made plans to meet up with Miles when he reached Patagonia, where we biked and fished with him for 9 days.
