Stowe, Vermont- After a snowy March in northern Vermont, arguably the state’s best ski resort is extending its season.
On Friday, the Vermont ski resort announced they’ll extend their season by a week. Originally scheduled to close on April 14th, Stowe will shut down on April 21st. The Vermont ski resort has received five feet of snow this month and over 250 inches for the season. With more snow on the way this week, Stowe is in great shape for this final stretch.
“It’s been a special season here at Stowe,” said Vice President and General Manager Shannon Buhler. “We’re so grateful to our dedicated team members and passionate guests, which is why we are stoked to be able to add a full week of spring skiing and riding, and go all the way until April 21 this year. Stowe is truly a magical place with a storied and rich skiing history. Between honoring the 90th anniversary of the Mt. Mansfield Ski Patrol – the longest operating ski patrol in the country – our upcoming spring events, and now our season extension, we’re celebrating everyone and everything that makes Stowe such a beloved mountain community.”
Here are the plans for the last week of operations: They’ll have the Sunrise Six and Forerunner Quad from 8 am- 4 pm on weekdays. For Saturday and Sunday, the Sunrise Six and Forerunner Quad will operate from 8 am-4 pm, and the Over Easy Gondola will run from 7:30 am-5 pm.
