SNOWQUALMIE, Washington — Two lanes of traffic were shut down Tuesday night after a pair of skiers got lost in a storm and ended up needing rescue after getting stuck on a 100-foot cliff at the Summit in Snoqualmie.

KIRO 7 reports The King County Sheriff’s Office received a rescue call came in at 7:13 p.m. around the Alpental Ski Area. The skiers appear to have crossed multiple warning signs and safety ropes during blizzard-like conditions at Alpental before getting stuck.

King County Search and Rescue were dispatched and to successfully find both of them by milepost 50 above I-90. Both skiers were uninjured and safely returned to the ski resort.
