South Dakota’s famed Deer Mountain Ski Resort, renowned for its ample snowfall, has reopened as a members-only ski resort. After being dormant since its closure in 2017, the resort has reopened, but only to those who can afford it.

Under the stewardship of Nebraska-based Keating Resources, Deer Mountain Village, will offer a myriad of year-round activities. The new members-only community will offer not just skiing but mountain biking, fishing, golf., as well as other recreational opportunities.

The reimagined Deer Mountain Village will feature 185 homes and up to 50 condos, offering an opportunity to be part of a private mountain community. Among the standout amenities are two newly renovated ski lifts, providing seamless access to the resort’s slopes, as well as a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse complete with a heated pool, spa, and various sports courts.

For those looking to become members of Deer Mountain Village, investment opportunities abound. Lots within this exclusive enclave are available for purchase, with prices ranging from $300,000 to $500,000. Each plot comes equipped with modern conveniences such as high-speed fiber, water, electricity, and gas.

Membership at Deer Mountain Village grants access to an array of amenities tailored to elevate the resort experience. The Mountain Club membership, priced at $15,000 per year, provides unlimited access to skiing, tubing, mountain biking, hiking, and more. Meanwhile, the clubhouse membership, included in lot purchases, offers access to recreational facilities such as the pool, hot tub, pickleball courts, tennis court, and basketball court, with options available for non-lot owners as well.
