Kläppen Ski Resort in Sweden isn’t the only one who stashed snow from last winter under insulated tarps to get a jump start on ski activities. Trollhaugen in Wisconsin employees the same method and they utilizing their recycled snow for a rail jam this Sunday.
KSTP reports Trollhaugen used to collect ice shavings from zambonis to gather enough snow to host the event but are now focused on collecting snow at the end of the ski season and preserving it. It was a hot summer in Wisconsin but they still managed to make it through with a snow pile measuring 12 feet tall and over 50 feet long
The rail jam event is sold out but Trollhaugen says it is still free to watch. Find more information below:
