In this video, you’ll witness the transformative impact of dedicated individuals coming together to make a difference in the lives of those with diverse abilities. Clarkson University’s Occupational Therapy students are not only mastering their clinical skills but also extending their hears and hands to support the adaptive skiing community.

Adaptive skiing programs are probably the best programs inside the ski industry. Making sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the sport that we live by and love sure be the top priority of every outdoor industry employee with any influence.

It’s awesome to see universities and other organizations give students the opportunity to participate in these adaptive programs, especially when it provides them with real life experience in relation to their majors and focuses. Major shoutout to Clarkson University and the students who are volunteering to work with Stride Adaptive Sports.

In case you’re curious, Clarkson University is a four year private university located mainly in Potsdam, New York. There aren’t many ski areas located super close to the school, but Titus Mountain (where this video is likely taking place, based on Stride’s website) is just about an hour away, and Whiteface is about an hour and a half, so they aren’t limited by any means (there’s skiing closer to Clarkson than there is to Denver, that’s for sure).

Maybe if you’re interested in working in Occupational Therapy, you should take a look at Clarkson! They clearly have some opportunities for killer in person experience.
