If you’re visiting Australia this winter and plan on hitting the slopes, you should try out the SkiTube.

This electrified rack railway connects passengers to Perisher Valley and Blue Cow ski fields in Southern New South Wales. The route was built underground in Kosciuszko National Park, helping reduce environmental damage above ground. This also helps protect the railway in difficult weather conditions. The stations at the ski resorts are slopeside, so it’s very convenient. The train is far from perfect though, as the ride is pricey, and there are no ski racks inside.

Somebody should forward this idea to Colorado’s Government.
