Interesting bit of A.I. powered tech with new app called SafeWaters.AI that claims to forecast shark attack risk with surprising accuracy. They are super vague on what data points they use to generate their risk assessments (which give me pause) but say the service works just like a weather app where you pull it out and see a numerical value attached to the risk of the day. The app is currently live on Kickstarter where it has a crowd funding goal of $15,000 (the money being earmarked for GPU running and IP costs). Not sure if I’m comfortable putting my safety in the water in the hands of A.I. but its certainly an interesting concept:
