The Celtics are currently trying to achieve Banner 18, and one of the pivotal men behind this effort is Jaylen Brown. The Celtics’ wing has had a career year, averaging 26.9 points and nearly 7 rebounds. He’s done it in the face of adversity, as he’s worn a face mask over the past couple of months due to a facial fracture he got back in February, and is currently dealing with a cut index finger.
After the Celtics’ victory on Wednesday night, Jaylen showed on his Instagram story that he got a Burton Snowboard and a signed copy of Red Bull’s Bulletin magazine from snowboarding legend Zeb Powell.
Zeb Powell also got some gear from Jaylen, including a sweatshirt from Jaylen’s apparel brand 7uice.
According to an interview with Snowboarding Magazine, Jaylen Brown’s crew, but not Jaylen himself because he was in the middle of the NBA season, showed up to Red Bull Slide-In Tour last year. Both Jaylen and Zeb are Red Bull athletes, so it’s pretty cool from my perspective as a Celtics and winter sports fan to see these two connect.
The Celtics are back in action tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.
