The Pinegrove expansion, to the left, is right next to the existing ski resort.

In terms of British Columbia ski resorts, Troll is very much under-the-radar. And I’m not trolling you, Troll Resort is its actual name. The moderately sized British Columbia ski resort has a lift fleet that consists of four t-bars. This small mountain will have one of the biggest expansions of any North American ski resort for the 2023-24 season.

Back in March, Troll announced that they’ll be expanding onto Pinegrove Mountain, which is located to the west of the existing ski resort. The new terrain pod, which will be serviced by a new t-bar, will have 25 trails along with numerous glades. This will amount to over thirty runs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty.

We’ve been staring at this mountain for over 50 years, dreaming of skiing it. The vision is coming to fruition and future generations will spend the next 50 years enjoying it, said Scott Zacharias, who is the General Manager of Troll Resort.

An official opening date has yet to be announced by Troll, but the trails have already been cut. We’ll keep you posted on the latest developments regarding this expansion.
