Despite several Southwest ski resorts having a very rough, and occasionally cut short season, one West Virginia ski resort is hangin’ on, and they’re hangin’ on well.
Following a recent snowfall of four inches in the past 24 hours and 10″ over the past week, Snowshoe Mountain has extended their ski season by a whole week. The mountain, which was set to close on March 26 according to WDTV, will continue running its lifts until Sunday, April 2.
“Our team has done an outstanding job this winter in spite of some challenging weather, and now we’re finally getting some help from Mother Nature. We’ve got the most open terrain in the region, and conditions are fantastic. We’re excited to extend the season and give our guests some extra opportunities to get in on the fun. Our season passholders will be able say they’ve skied in 6 months of the year here at the ‘Shoe.” -Snowshoe Mountain President & COO Patti Duncan
