If you’re planning to make the drive through the Midwest in the next few days, you might want to think about changing up your plans. Massive snow totals are heading towards Denver starting tonight, Jan 17th, with the storm heading towards Michigan throughout the rest of the week, according to AccuWeather.

While the Mile High City can expect somewhere around 6-12 inches, the mountains of Colorado likely won’t get so lucky. Some of Colorado’s resorts may get somewhere from 3-6 inches, while others are looking at a more measly 1-3.

As for the Midwest states, parts of Nebraska can expect snow in the 12-18 inches range, while Omaha, Des Moines, and Green Bay will share Denver’s 6-12. Those in Minneapolis hoping for snow may be a bit disappointed, with only 1-2 inches predicted there.

New England  and East Coast ski resorts can also expect some snow Thursday through Friday from this storm, with parts of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine getting into that 6-12 inch region. A majority of resorts in that area, however, can expect 3-6 inches, 1-3 inches, or no snow at all.
