Snowbasin Resort is already having a great season, with snow totals reaching 131″ and more on its way. Additionally, as the cherry on top for frequent visitors of the mountain, another six-person high-speed lift in the mountain’s Strawberry area was just announced for the 2023-24 ski season.

The lift, named the DeMoisy Express, is set to be placed just underneath the historic DeMoisy Peak, with the bottom terminal located near the bottom of the Strawberry Gondola. It’s placement is intended to double uphill capacity in the area while providing more consistent access to the highly sought-after terrain. More trails will also be created to accompany the new lift.

“To say that both the Snowbasin staff and loyal guests will be excited about this lift announcement may be the understatement of the year. DeMoisy Express has been contemplated as part of our future plans for the resort, and we are thrilled to be moving forward on this incredible addition.” – Davy Ratchford, Vice President and General Manager of Snowbasin Resort

Demoisy Express will be built and installed by Leitner POMA of America, and will be able to move up to 2,400 skiers and snowboarders every hour. Top-to-bottom time for the resort’s 13th lift is expected to be approximately 10 minutes.
