There’s nothing in the world like Mountain Creek Resort. The New Jersey ski resort announced on Wednesday that they’ll be starting their season off on Sunday (December 18th). They’ll have Vernon & South Peak open for top to bottom skiing. The mountain will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, with access available to Season Pass and Triple Play Cardholders only. Their snow tubing park will open on December 23rd.

The ski season in New Jersey is year-round now, with BIG Snow American Dream being an indoor ski resort that is situated in East Rutherford. Still, I imagine many in the Garden State will be excited to get some outdoor skiing without having to drive many hours to New England, Pennsylvania, or the Southeast.

The following trails will be open: Sugar, Learning Area, Upper Horizon, Lower Horizon, Cab Ride, Canyon, Lark, Lift Line, Bakersfield, and Cloud 9. Various terrain park features will be set up as well. The lifts that Mountain Creek will have open include The Cabriolet, Sugar Quad, Magic Carpet, and South Peak Express.
