I’m a big fan of beautiful ballpark backdrops. Some of the best examples of this are PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Oracle Park in San Fransisco, and Camden Yards in Baltimore. None of these features the Alps and a castle in the background though. Enter King’s Field in Füssen, Germany, which sits in the midst of the Bavarian Alps.  Mitch Stephan, who played college baseball in the U.S., came back to Germany to get a field opened in Füssen. Getting it completed took fifteen years, but the results are some stunning views. This video from Major League Baseball, which is down below, describes how this stunning ballpark became the European Field of Dreams.
