It’s Canada Day for our friends up north, and they’re skiing in Alberta. After 900cm of snowfall during the season and a relatively cool Spring, Banff Sunshine Village reopened on June 28th. With this being Canada Day, the mountain will be open for the first time for the Canadian Holiday since 1991. The amount of terrain is limited to The Dell Valley and Rock Isle Road trails off the Strawberry Express. While the trail and lift counts are limited and conditions are being described as sticky, people sound stoked to be back on the hill for the summertime. Their goal is to remain open until July 3rd. These videos from Jessika Guse and Global News show what conditions are like at Banff Sunshine Village.
