“If Everest was in Norway, we would have put a road to the summit.” -Mette Larsen

Excellent video from a Norwegian YouTuber sharing a story not yet fully told to an international audience, how they manage clearing a winter’s worth of snow every spring to open Trollstigen (The Trolls Road). Every year road crews spend 8 weeks clearing and repairing the 60 miles stretch of highway and this inside look at the operation gives you an appreciation of the massive scale of the undertaking. Hairpin switchbacks carved directly into stone walls, steep mountainsides, towering waterfalls….this might be the coolest drive on earth.
