With ski season practically over (minus a few holdouts), many outdoorsy people are shifting their focus towards different activities. One such activity is hiking, but ticks are a legitimate risk of going deep into the woods. Getting bitten by a tick raises the risk of acquiring various diseases, especially lyme disease on the East Coast.  The Outside Chronicles released a video last year with some advice about ticks. Some of his tips include using permethrin, deet, and picaridin before the hike, and removing ticks from your body via tweezers.  The video from Outside Chronicle is below and click here to learn more about ticks via the CDC.
