Ever since I became SCUBA certified, I’ve considered what it would be like to find a profession in the world of diving. There’s several options: instruction, photography, tour guides, rescue, and much more. One of the wildest underwater professions, and possibly one of the wildest professions in general, would have to be saturation diving.
These guys (specifically the guy in the video, at least) is spending 28 days straight underwater, working and living within and around an underwater chamber. Decompression at the end of an underwater period takes several days. It has to be one of the most insane professions out there.
“When you drop out into the unknown- and you know, I could be the first person that’s actually stood here. You’re in a different world. I love Sat diving. I’m home now for two months and I can’t wait to get back offshore right now.” – Jadon Anderson
